Holy cow, I haven't blogged in almost 2 months, I am so sorry. Well not like anyone cares but they might. I guess nothing to exciting has been going on lately. Well that's not totally true Ryan started soccer a few weeks ago and had his first soccer game last Saturday. It was miserable cold and exciting! I will blog about that later.
Right now, I am sending out a plea! I haven't decorated my bedroom or bathroom since I moved in 3 years ago. Why? Not sure I think it's because I had moved 3 times in the last 3 years that I just never pictured myself staying there that long. That I didn't want to repaint because it wouldn't be neutral and then I would have to repaint when I did want to sell the house and the list goes on. So i am finally ready to pain, to make my bedroom a haven to get some stuff out of storage and to put my stamp on it.
So for most of you who know me knows that I love shabby-chic. I love the flowers and the whites and the pastels, I love antiques and painted roughed up furniture, quilts, transferware and so fourth. I have all the accessories I want to put in my room, except my furniture I don't like it and I want new to me. I have plans to steal an iron bed at my moms house and have it re-done. The problem is I don't know how to do it or where to take it. I am currently scouring blogs and the Internet for some type of tutorial.
Then my next project is either to paint my chest of drawers or find another set. I would be fine with finding a new set and giving the ones I have now to Ryan. It would probably work in his room better and I would really like an armoires instead of a chest of drawers because it would hide the hideous TV. Then I would be good to go.
But anyways the whole purpose of this blog post is because of paint. I want to paint my room purple and I can not find the right shade. I want soft subtle purple not pinkish purple or whitish purple or oh wow that is purple. I have bought 4 different paint samples from Lowe's and painted them on the wall, still no luck. I think some of my problem is my bedding even though I like it, I will probably have to find something else which will be a whole other fiasco in itself.
So please pray that I will maintain sanity that I won't have a room painted a million different shades of purple and that I will be able to make up my mind.
I had a purple room for years at my parents, in fact it still is purple and really needs to be re-painted! My mom spent hours painting little lilac flowers on the border of the ceiling. I also had a white princess thingy from the ceiling. I think you need one of those Jessica! In fact, we had a fish fry for church at our house and you were there. That was probably right around the time I first met you. Now I know why you liked me, it was just because of my lavender princess room!
