December 22- Game night

So we were going to do board games but we decided to do the Wii instead. Ryan has never been much into video games, but he loves him some wii bowling and he is good, he beats me every time. I wish you could be there and here all of his comments he had me laughing all night long, here are a few snapshots of the evening. Look carefully at his mouth he has to have his tongue sticking out to play it cracks me up.

December 21- Holiday Book

So we didn't have much time together again so our activity was just reading a fun book. We found a Merry Christmas Curious George book that Ryan didn't realize he had, so we read that tonight.

Today for advent he got smarties! He loves those candies.

December 20-Coloring night

I had planned to have a color night he got new crayons for his advent calendar.

I told him to open his eyes bigger, now he looks like he has had botox.

Then I got him this really cool coloring book.

I thought he would love it and spend the whole night coloring and watching Christmas shows.

Well I was wrong and I have apparently spoiled the child. Because he thought we needed to do a craft. So luckily I had some pipe cleaners and they came to the rescue last night.

Pipe cleaners candy canes. Now I didn't have red and white, but pink and green had to do. He had fun he hung them all over his tree.

I finally did get him to color me a picture

So apparently I am the greatest mom ever, according to Ryan. He has been telling everyone that he has the best mom and that this has been the best Christmas ever. Because he get to do crafts all the time and go places like ice skating. That is exactly how I wanted him to feel. I accomplished my goal!

December 19-Reindeer clothes pin craft

I found this cute craft that I thought Ryan would enjoy, It's pretty simple

you take 3 clothes pin and a Popsicle stick

glue them to Popsicle stick like this

paint it brown

take a milk break

let it dry

add googly eyes and a red pom pom

tada you got Rudolph, except Ryan says it does not look like a reindeer, oh well
 I glued some ribbon on them so we could hang them on the tree,

19th day of advent Ryan got cars magnets.

December 18- Lazy Movie day

So the plan for the day was to have a polar express party. Didn't quite happen. We have been cleaning the house. Because I told Ryan that Santa can't come to a dirty house. Then we put on our PJ's by that time ELF was on TV and he wanted to finish that and then watch Miracle on 34th street. That was fine with me so we crawled in bed to watch Polar Express and he fell asleep within the first 10-15min. But it was a great day just watching movies and the kid will not try hot chocolate, no matter how hard I try. Now he loves chocolate milk and will not believe that hot chocolate is just chocolate milk warmed up. But he will drink coffee, go figure.

So to watch the first few movies we got out our sleeping bags and made a pallet on the floor

The 18th day of the advent calendar and he got a mini bowling set

As I was uploading the pictures to the computer apparently Ryan has gotten a hold of my camera because he took about 20 pictures of his toys and then I found this one and thought it was hilarious

I know its blurry  but for him to attempt to take a picture of himself just cracks me up.

December 17-New Christmas P.J.

So today Ryan goes to his dad so it was something short. He got new P.J's and he loves them and he says they feel so soft

and his advent calendar on the 17th is... a bunny

The final countdown to Christmas has began, Christmas shopping is finished and it is time to wrap presents, We are in the home stretch, I am loving it and I feel sad that this will all be over soon.

December 16- Christmas Party and Polar Express

So today was Ryan's Christmas Party. He had a blast, he loves his school so much and I do to. He got tons of loot and had such a great time. I offered to take him back to work with me which he loves to do and he even refused. He was having such a great time. Here are a few pictures of the party.

Today's activity was to read Polar Express. He was super excited when he opened the book and found a CD inside that read the book to you. We snuggled in my bed with my new flannel snowman sheets and relaxed and listened to the book

Today on the 16th day he got a cute little stuffed kitty named tux. He loves it

December 15- Ice Skating

So we went ice skating this evening and it was a blast. Ryan loved it!! Not so good but he did way better than I thought he would! He was awesome! He fell about 200 times but he just popped right back up. We also got to ride all the rides for free. So it was fun and can I just say I hate Ferris wheels, They are to tall to scary to much in the air and to fast. My 5 year old loved it and I was closing my eyes and holding on for dear life the whole time, literally not even joking fokes. I never ever want to get on one again until Ryan says he wants to because you know how that works

.Now to the part that made my evening, my dad who has never skated in his life decided to put on my brothers ice skates and go around the rink, check one off for the bucket list for him. It was comical considering my brother had to walk next to him to make sure he didn't fall

December 14-Twas the night before Christmas

So since it's Tuesday night, which means it's his dads night we don't get to do a whole lot so I mostly scheduled fun books to read. Tonight he received 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. A personal favorite of mine. He loves everything about Christmas this year, Santa clause, the elves, the reindeer, the tree and the ornaments. In fact I overheard him telling my mom that is what he wanted to get me for Christmas and she said don't you think we need to get her a little something bigger that that and he said ok we can get her 2 ornaments.  That child cracks me up.
